View Full Version : Feiten intonation + NORMAL tuning = ?

I find that tuning to the Feiten intervals drives me insane, and the guitar sounds strange to me. When I tune to 440 standard, my world gets clearer and I like doing the intro to "Man on the Silver Mountain" again.

Do the Feiten intonation settings benefit the tuning if I use regular tuning? Or is it apples to oranges?

you're making this way too hard. if you did the intonation correctly, you can tune normally or on the feiten setting. my experience is that i like it better on the feiten setting. the 440 setting has nothing to do with any of this, it's just the place the tuner puts the A note.

I tend to make myself crazy sweating the details too much! I think the intonation is spot on now, so I will tune and just play! Thanks Tom.

PS--I decided to keep the H2+ instead of getting a hotter H3. Turns out my Marshall was biased a little too cold. When I rebiased, the H2+ got warmer and nicer sounding. Live and learn!
