Hi everyone,
I am a new member from Ontario Canada and a recent owner of a beautiful Tom Anderson Drop Top Serial No. 04-29-06P... did I said its a beautiful guitar??http://www.andersonforum.com/board/images/icons/icon7.gif
I been playing for more then 20 years (pro for a few years) and I've owned all kind of guitars and gear. I have to say that my TA is by far a work of art and a dream to play... but you all know that about TA's.
As I said before I live in Ontario Canada and it is very hard to find TA guitars around here, I should say close to impossible. Steve's used to carry them but for what ever reasons they no longer do. The only official dealer that TA has in Canada is Mother's Music in Alberta, which is where I purchased my guitar over the phone and e-mail correspondance. I have to say that the guys at Mother's (in Calgary) were excellent and very patience with me since I was not able to test the guitar, so I had a ton of questions. I knew it was a great instrument but I never purchased a guitar without playing it, it's kind of a no no for me. But I had a good feeling about this one, I spent the money I have no regrets.
After reading the news of Tom Anderson scaling down it's production it might be harder to find them around here now. It's a shame because I know fellow Canadian guitar players would appreciate TA craftmanship.
Thanks for the time, I just wanted to share my experience from a fellow guitar player North of the border and wanted to thank Mr. Anderson for making a fine instrument... I hope to see your guitars in my local shop some day.
Best wishes
Trikim
