Greetings All

I have an older Drop Top from 1992 that the blower switch is getting quite scratchey. (Hmm must be my favorite switch:-). Whats the best way to repair/replace this? I see that the switches are all soldered to a circuit card so I assume one woud have to unsolder the switch from the card and replace it. Or is it better to buy the whole card assembly ? Either way can I buy the switch/switch assy. from TAGW and if so how much and how long.

Thanks for the info in advance.

Still lovin the guitar after all these years.

the switch can be removed, but it will take some skill since there are 12 pins which all have to be desoldered. you could also get a complete new board. it is $75 will all 4 switches. the single switch is about $15.

Hi Tom- Thanks for the response. Looks like getting the whole card with the 4 switches will be the easiest route. Can I buy this direct from you? I'll be coming to NAMM next week maybe I could buy it from you there if you happen to have it. No worries if you can't though. I'll be coming by the booth anyway to see your latest creations.:D

Thanks again.

this past monday i had an old friend bring in a '93 that needed a new switch. i messed wih it for a half hour before giving up getting the old one out. i just replaced the whole board. we won't have any parts down there at the show.
