Hi guys,
I'm considering trading my 2004 Cobra S for an Andy Drop Top or Classic Strat but only if it would be right for both of us. My serial # is 09-03-04N . I had it on ebay but withdrew the auction because I had cold feet when the "Anderson panic" set in. The pictures can still be viewed at ebay auction # 180050250602 . I'm the second owner and rescued it from Guitar Center Dallas in May of 2005. The guitar was was only 9 months old when I bought it. The original owner bought it from Brian H. at Charley's Guitar Shop in Dallas. I've never gigged with it and it's never been taken out of my home. I consider it to be in excellent condition. I'm only wanting to trade because I prefer maple fretboards and I miss having a guitar with single coils.

What I would like is a recent (2004-2006) Andy Drop Top or Classic Strat with 3 single coils (or at least 2 singles in the neck and middle positions) and a maple fretboard. I don't think I'd consider anything else. Maple fretboard is a must. My dream color would be a two or three-toned/desert or tobacco sunburst or similar but I would consider other finishes as long as they're not too far out for me. Mine is not a beat up POS, so your's shouldn't be either. ;) Mine comes with all the case candy, etc.,. Please, if your's is worn - please don't respond, as I'm pretty picky. This would be a pretty much a straight up trade. I know my requirements are somewhat stiff but you never know what's out there...

So, what'cha got? You can email me at theatomicjeff@hotmail.com or I'll be checking this thread.

thanks!
Jeff

Here's a couple of pix. I don't want to take up too much bandwidth on Tom's site so I'll attach links for the rest of them.

Atomicjeff,

I may have what you are looking for, First of all did your Cobra S come from our friend that traded in all of his TAG's to GC last year, I picked up a Tiger burst and The Rubby Slippers. I was always interested in the Cobra S in Fireburst but they told me it was sold. Second if you want a reference and the condition my guitars are in talk to Brian, he knows me very well.
My serial number is 02-07-03a, it is a Classic 3 color burst VA1, VA1R, and VA2. Hard Rock Maple, Rosewood Fretboard. Satin Finish, Tinted Back, 1 5/8 Heavy frets, '62 Roundback. I could be interested in a straiht up trade. I am the 2nd owner, the guitar originally was from Wildwood.
Let me know if you are interested.

Hi Greg,
Also got your email. Yes, this guitar was originally owned by that very same friend you're referring to. You can see him hold it on Brian's Andersonalley site. The 62 roundback neck might be a little too big for my hands. I've previously owned a Cobra T before and ultimately got rid of it for that very reason. According to the serial number search for your guitar, it has a rosewood fretboard. I was interested only in maple fretboards. But I appreciate the offer and thank you for responding.

best regards,
Jeff
