WOW, that's going to go for some serious "jingle" - especially if it really is the "Get Back" T.

   OK. I don't know how I'd be able justify that kind of coin even if it came with George attached. wow.
My question would be where did the second guitar end up. Is it still residing somewhere at Fender.
"Delaney Bramlett has counted the guitar among his very dearest possessions and hopes that its new home will be with a collector who will treat it with the same respect and dignity he has for the nearly three decades it has been in his possession."
I overlooked the date on the auction page, Sept. and dug a bit more.
It appears that it sold for somewhere between $250,000.00 and $300,000.00 couldn't find anything on who the buyer was.

Not sure , I have the Beatles gear book . Ill have a look and see theres any further mention . I did go by and had a look at the old Beatles Apple headquartes in London in the later 90's where they did the infamous last concert in 1969 on the roof (with the late Billy Preston) . its a non descript building in saville row just off regent street in London . I did take a minute to realize that some R&R history happened there . I do know they acquired some strats as well . George painted his psychedelic and used it on Nowhere man . I think his family still has his vast collection of guitars . I would assume dhanni harrison (son) probably plays them . Didnt Anderson do a copy of the strat ?

I'll have to differ with you there . They evidently made three of the Harrison Strats . They call them the Magical Mystery tour Strat . Its in the Classic gallery on the TAG site

oh yes, of course you are correct! Alpha in VA had one for a while. I thought you were referring specifically to the T in the auction noted in the initial thread.;)

in the beatles gear book it states that the other rw guitar was made for hendrix but was never delivered . No one seems to know what happened to it .
Barry,
Way cool to have visited Apple records.
I was living in Germany in 69 and visited London/Liverpool in 1970, but was to young to go into the bar The Beatles played in there. Also Got to see Billy Preston play in Frankfurt on tour with the Rolling Stones. (Goats Head Soup)
My understanding is that two rosewood tele's and two rosewood strat's were made and the best were selected to be given to Harrison and Hendrix. That would seem to indicate that there is another tele somewhere. I was aware that the Hendrix guitar was never delivered.
Terry
there were lots of teles. back in the schecter day we got a handfull of old stock fender rosewood necks. then we started making them. still have never seen a real fender rosewood strat. the tele was hollow to help with the weight. the strat must have weighed a ton. we did a few solid rosewood teles back at schecter, and they weighed about 12 lbs:eek:

Hi Terry,
I didnt mean to confuse anyone . I didnt visit Apple records . I visted the Apple offices/headqurters where they did the concert on the roof with Billy Preston . As I mentioned its not far off Regent St in Saville Row . I seem to remember reading that a bit of the Let It Be album was recorded there . I think in the Free as a Bird video theres some shots of George entering it and John and Yoko as well . There some other beatle stuff nearby . The house where Paul lived with the Ashers is in Wimpole st . he wrote "yesterday" there and he and john also wrote i want to hold your hand there in Mrs Ashers music room in the basement . My mother is from Reading, Berks not far from london so im over fairly often . Back to the rosewood teles. I didnt read anything about two being made . Ill go back and have another look .
