If I custom order a guitar, how far will TAG go to meet my specifications? For example, if I were to say that I want a very light, resonant body, would an effort be made to pick one out, or would I still just get the next slab from the pile? Also, if I say I would like a very dark, straight-grained fretboard, will I get one?

Another question, which Anderson neck carve is most like the PRS wide fat?

These questions are prompted by an extreme case of GAS brought on by Kevin's (http://andersonforum.com/board/showthread.php?t=3451) recent aquisition. I really want one:

I don't think I have ever played an Andy that wasn't very light & resonant !!
I'm so pleased with my new Andy I am going to be selling several PRS guitars to buy a new one!

Speaking from personal experience, the TAG folks will do absolutely everything to ensure you get the answers you need to make an informed decision. Regarding certain wood requests, tom and Roy work tirelessly to get you what you request (but they're really all the good because TAG sources their stock from only the best distributors - I've heard this from other builders and distributors). I've placed orders where I ask for something aesthetic (e.g. bone white maple, with grain going north/south), and after tom and Roy get through rolling their eyes (in a nice way of course), I realize the the focus is really on achieving the best tone possible.
