The Gotoh, or Grovers? Which ones do I wanna get, if there's a choice?

BTW, I didn't plan on getting locking tuners with my Floyd, but since there's no charge, I went for it. Not for tuning stability, but for stringing ease! Locking tuners (good ones, anyway) make installing new strings a breeze!

Cool, I like not having to use a coin or other metal objects that may fall and roll onto the maple!

Thanks Tom!

Sweet! They look like standard tuners--not too bulky or strange looking! Thanks for the pic!

PS...that must be a digital SLR, blurred background (big F stop) and all!? Nice! What does the rest of the guitar look like?

You know, my straight up 2SB alder Classic, nothing fancy, is probably my best sounding Andy! I am lately moving towards simplicity and away from the fancy stuff. My last two were plain tops.

That is a classy looking axe!

Love the guitar, but I got the Grover tuners, which are kind of a PITA to use!

I thought I would get the Gotohs??

Grovers? On a new guitar? We haven't stocked Grovers for years.

Hey Bruce - Welcome back (temporarily)!

My tuners have the coin slot that locks the strings in. I thought the Gotoh just use the turning motion? Could I have it wrong?

those are gotohs. they do just use the turning motion to lock. if you break a string or are just lazy like me, you can use a coin to unlock to change a string.

Oh!! When I couldn't get the strings (I broke one) to come out of the tuner without using the coin trick, I thought I had Grovers by the instructions on the TA website. I guess I'm just confused!

Happy New Year Tom and Bruce!

This may be a stupid question, but are the current Gotoh tuners available seperately through you guys?

we have ours made with the staggered height posts, and we willl seill them for your anderson guitar. allparts has the standard gotoh version which is the same except all posts are the same height. keep in mind the mounting screw hole pattern is different from grovers and schallers.
