More punch than SA1

I love the tone of the SA1, and would welcome any suggestions on how to get a bit more gain other than these pickups.
I have an SD2 in the bridge, so I've experienced that option already.
Opinions welcomed, please!

An SD pick up wouldn't get you pointed in the right direction... it's mid's are scooped out more than the SA. The next step above the SA1 is the SA2 for output's sake. The SA1 will have more punch and a cleaner headroom, while the SA2 will sound more saturated and darker with less touch dynamics... which is a little over the top for some... but it's the next step for your aplication. We really don't make anything hotter for that size configuration.
