My long awaited Hollow Classic T came yesterday. As you will see from the pics, it's not the standard fare. Culled from all of the Andersons I've owned, this one was designed to get my through 95% of our 4 hour shows.

Swamp ash over alder
Madagascar rosewood (love how it matches the tortoise guard)
HN3 and H2+
3 way with master split
Fixed PowerBridge
.30 over neck
Dark tinted neck (love the more yellow vintage tint)

I just love Ash on Alder. Probably my favorite hollow combination.

Jay,

I noticed no pickup ring on the bridge pickup? Di d you order ti that way or is is standard fare to not have a pickup ring on the Hollow T at the bridge position. Either way the guitar is a cool looking axe. Hot pickups. :)

That pick combo will actually throw flames 20 feet... beware to the people in the front row.

Yah, no rings is my call. Something I've enjoyed in my Atom that carried over to my Pro Am T to this guitar. Word on the street is that our fearless leader isn't a fan and does it under protest. I kind of see his point as pickups like to be all snuggly in their beds without all that open air around them. I've only had one pickup get a little funky, and it was an HN3 which is not a tall bobbin. Dropped back down to H3 and it went away.

And yes, the HN3 and H2+ combo is a hot one. It's been another journey that lead me to that coupling. H02 to H2 to H2+ to H3 to HN3. I really like the midrange kick you get from the H3 to the HN3. The H2+ in the neck was also a discovery as I was looking for that singing lead tone that Neal Schon gets. Only recently discovered that most of his is probably the Sustainer! Oh well, the H2+ stuck around.

I will say, that a master splitter with the 3 way switch is really cool. Six very usable sounds for me. The hot pickups split nicely.

Word. Have owned and or played dozens of Andersons. This is the loudest unplugged TAG I've ever heard. Notes just chime off the body.

They never see it coming Bruce. The stage light glare off my bald head acts as a stun grenade. FLASH (pause) BANG!!!!!

Are those strap buttons locking?? If so, did you request them or are they now standard??
