It's a version of the VA pickup series that has two different output levels. You can get them wired with a little toggle switch to select lower or higher. It's kinda like being able to go from Buddy Holly to SRV with the flick of a switch. Vintage output to slightly overwound. Very cool pickups!

I'm looking at an Anderson that has the VA Booster option (there's a mini toggle to activate). My interest are in the vintage style single coils and it sounds (pun intended) like this is a nice add to the Anderderson's VA pickups - retaining the vintage tonality but with the ability to add a little extra omph when needed.
