Ive never ventured from the combo realm but recently picked up a used Fuchs Blackjack 21 head. Since I didnt have a speaker cab I also ordered a Bogner cube from another source. Both should be delivered sometime next week.
After browsing some of the electrical specs I found that the Fuchs has
Power output: 21 watts into 4 or 8 ohms.
The Bogner cube houses a 16 ohm speaker.
Will this work OK?

i've never heard of trouble running a tube amp at a higher imp. lower could be bad. you will get a little less output at 16 ohms.

Tom's right, of course. You may not be getting all of the tone with a mismatch. Add another 16 ohm cube, then you be rockin'!

You could also swap out the 16 ohm V 30 in the Cube for an 8 ohm V 30. I find that running a 16 ohm speaker on an 8 ohm tapped amp, especially if it has any kind of a Fender pedigree (which the Fuchs has), the low end will be a little loose. Worth a try as is, you may like it just the way it is!!
