Check this (http://thegearpage.net/) out. Everything. Gone.
Wow! That's unfortunate. There was plenty of fat on thegearpage steak, but there was some good meat in there too.
I hope it'll get up and running again if for no other reason than the Emporium over there--it's really nice buying and selling on the used market without having to fool with ebay.

The emporiums were definitely cool, but I liked how each and every question would receive about 15 knowledgable answers within a few hours. Not that I can't get that here, but even for more obscure gear, there were always several knowledgable users out of the massive number of forumites on TGP who gave great responses/ideas.
Lotta fat, though; that's for sure.

Scott, Brian, Alec and the rest of the boys have been working behind the sceens trying to get http://www.thegearpage.net back up and running. They are taking so many hits that the server need to be upgraded and they had a major failure while in the transition, that cost them alot of the data that they had on board.
While I am sure they are doing everything that they can do behind the scenes to get up and running, I can tell you from my experience with the hacking that we had, there is a tremendous amount of time and work that go into getting back up and running.
If there is anything we can do here at the Anderson Forum- Please fellows, just let me know. :)

Another hard disk crash for TGP. Check out the Annex on birdsandmoons.com for more info on TGP - they're going to switch from a provider to owning their own server.

Here's (http://forums.birdsandmoons.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27308&page=1&pp=10) the thread on their temporary annex on BAM where Brian Scherzer talks about what's been going on.
Seems like they were spending a lot of money to get some really bad service with their last two hosts. Hopefully their new plan for the dedicated server will keep them up and stable for some time in the future. Would be sad to lose a great online gear resource.

Sounds like they have long-term plans fairly well in hand with a lot of help from some knowledgable people. I spect they'll be back up and around soon.
