To celebrate my 40th birthday last month, my wife helped me throw a party at a local dive bar. My band played a set and then my favorite band in town, Queen For A Day played an all Jay request show. I jumped onstage for Tie Your Mother Down and Dragon Attack and had a blast. Our own Brian H is such an amazing player, that most of the time I just stood next to him and watched in awe. To be on stage with such a truly talented group of musicians was humbling. But I'll never forget it. Here are three pics of what went down...

haha, indeed. sounds like a new color idea to me, first there was jack's blue, now there is sylvanshine's sa-weet and sour

for a dive bar they sure seem to have some subs!
Those subs haven't moved air since '92, however they did manage to keep the audience away from the stage quite well.
(please note the monitors are on cinder blocks!)

We had a great time, despite how goofy we look in those pictures.

Personally I like the rack of andy's to one side and the concrete block stage extension on the other.
