we've had a fire in the electrical room for our complex and we will have no power today and probably tomorrow. our shop is fine, just no power. roy is home answering email and calling dealers, so if you need to reach him use the email. i am at the shop with an extension cord running from next door and a single phone. alone... hungry...no music...computer as my only friend...

That really stinks. I was doing some recording last week, and the power went out. Blew a fuse in my amp and we couldn't track for a while. Those situations are always a bummer.

Tom,
Since you are lonesome today I thought I would tell you a interesting story.First,some background.I presently own and play two Anderson guitars(along with a bunch of others).I have a Hollow T classic and a Cobra special w/P90's.I love them both.I was out in my studio(garage)playing the other day and my wife came in to listen and to have a cigarette.I went to sit with her and have a smoke too.I kept my Cobra on as I sat at our small hang out table.She has heard me praise your guitars a lot.I told her that I will get an Atom as soon as I can get some cash together.She looks at the Cobra and then at me and says"are you not playing an Atom right now"?I told her no, this is a Cobra.She then says"well it says Atom on the headstock".I then look at the headstock and just noticed that the big A was close enough to the tom and it looked like it said Atom anderson guitarworks.I never really noticed it before.So,now I'm wondering why or how you decided to name the Atom what it is.Now I'm curious.Take care Tom.

i said this somewhere, but i can't remember where. atom came from the early days of the company when i used to get letters addressed to Dear Atom. i couldn't resist using the name on the guitar.
