is there anyone who tried hipshot tremsetter(http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Bridges,_tailpieces/Electric_guitar_tremolo_parts/Hipshot_Trem-Setter.html)? I got a hollow drop top with floyd rose bridge and I was wondering if it's a good idea to put it on!
P.S.thanks Ctoddrun, the guitar is great!!

My friend from Italy.
Glad you enjoy the guitar.
The amp that guitar funded has been wonderful as well.
(never tried the tremsetter. There are a few alternatives when it comes to setting those trems these days, so be sure to look at all the options)

I put in a similar device on a Drop Top T and there wasn't enough clearance underneath the springs. I'd make sure you know the exact measurements of this one before you order, or at least make sure that it can be returned if you dry fit it and it doesn't fit.
it depends what you want it to do. if you are looking for something to make it rigid or only go down, there is a new product coming in a couple months called a tremelo-no. it is promising.

I use the floyd a lot in both directions, I don't want it to move only down, sometimes when I bend a note and another one is ringing I go flat with both notes. This tremsetter can eliminate the "problem"?Or there is something with a similar function?
P.S.Todd which amp this guitar funded?

Diezel Herbert.
Very nice.
By the way, did I mention that I had a small wood block on that guitar, blocking the trem?
Its on there with double sided tape, so removal will be a breeze.
a floating bridge will do that, it is always a question of balance. if you bend anything sharp, the rest go flat. the trem setter is made to stop that. the down side is that it makes the arm feel much stiffer and makes it feel like there is a resting position detent in the bridge.
