New Andy

I just got a sweet Cobra, and the Atom is gone to a loving home in CA. The Atom was a great guitar and felt amazing, but I found that I'm more of a Cobra guy. I guess I didn't play enough guitars before making the Atom purchase last year. I love this Cobra. It has an edge that the Atom didn't. Also, I may be crazy, but the split-humbucker tones sound more stratty than the M1's in the Atom to me. I'll probably go for a H2/H1 Atom sometime in the future, but here's my new guitar:

My HTC just showed up at Mass St. Music yesterday, so I'll be picking that up on Saturday. I sure have sold a lot of gear recently, but now I'll have three Andersons, so it's all good.

Dang! That thing is sick! Somethin about a black trans stain on a nice quilt like that! I saw one on eBay just like that a bit ago and really thought hard about snatchin it up. I hope you enjoy it. Makes me want a Cobra S real bad now...haha!! ;)

that is one spectacular guitar. what a beauty. I'm also glad that you're honing in on the right guitar for you. I once heard a guy say that we're constantly on this Tone Quest... but it's a moving target!

Picked up another today...this one is the HTC I had on order at Mass. St. Ohhhhh man, it is AWESOME. Everything is perfect. I'm loving the +.100 neck and the split M sounds. More pics and review to follow.

Man, it is sweet. I just spent an extended lunch break playing along with a Brad Paisley album (my fingers ache). I'm really digging the 5-way. The split M1- sounds are great...not nearly as weak as I thought they would be. Position 4--the split M1- with the TM2--is just nasty. I love it! I thought that I might regret getting a fixed bridge, but I don't at all. This thing just RESONATES. I love the neck, too. Just like the Hollow Classic above, it is +.100". Here are a couple of pics:
