View Full Version : My new(used)Cobra Special

Today,I received my new(used)Cobra Classic w/P90's.Finished in Black.1 11/16 nut with the '62 rounded neck carve.The guitar sounds awesome.Has a thicker tone than I thought it would.Bonus.To the left of it is my Hollow T Classic.The Cobra really bridges the gap between my Les Paul's and my HTC.Next,maybe an Atom.

Congratulations, beautiful special Sean. I'm eyeing one on the dreaded bay right now. Have you had a chance yet to compare it to an LP Junior?

I have not compared it side by side to a LP Junior.I have played many LP Juniors and owned one some time ago.I bought the Cobra special over a R6 LP w/P90's though.This Cobra is awesome.I would recommend a Cobra Special over a LP Junior anyday.My Andersons are spoiling me rotten.I love LP guitars.I have been playin' them for 20 years but,I see myself getting another Anderson before another LP.Good luck.

I called Roy and got a pair of cream P90 covers for my Cobra Special.Thanks Roy.I prefer it with the cream covers.They look cool with the gloss black body. :D I still am in awe of how great it sounds,feels and plays.I can't wait to get another TAG.Very inspiring instruments.

Wow, Sean, I'm diggin' the guitar.

I am so glad to hear that you like it. I have a Cobra S Special with 2 P90s on order to deliver sometime around May, and I can't wait.

You are going to love your Cobra.They are amazing.I have been a Las Paul player for 20 years and one thing I can say is I prefer my Cobra Special to any LP jr or Special I have played.I see you play an Atom.Since I'm a LP player,how does the Atom compare feel wise?I'm sure they are awesome.I would like to get an Atom soon,but where I live there are no close TAG dealers for me to check one out.I would be grateful for your imput.Enjoy your Cobra when it arrives.If it is a May delivery,it should have the Wedgie neck joint like the Atom.Take care.
