Just rewired my 5-way to a 3-way on the Classic T. Wanted to simplify to only the single coils (no humbucking). Red wire is hot, green and white together and taped off and black/ground to pot. Correct?
the green and whites need to go to ground if you want split. if they are taped off and go nowhere you have humcancelling.

hmmmmm. They definitely don't humcancel currently with the green/white floating in space. Here's the schematic I followed. Red replaces white in this diagram for my purposes...

if green and white are foating in space and are not soldered together, there should be no signal. if they are soldered together and go nowhere, you have series. if they are soldered together and go to ground, you should have split.

I was in series. Just grounded the green/whites. Sounds like a Classic T now. Weird. :o
Thanks little flux buddy. :)
