I'm looking for an off-the-shelf pedalboard. What's your favorite?

I suppose it'll need to be fairly big. . need some space to grow. The current plan is to have:

1) powerblend
2) volume pedal
3) wah
4) mxr phase 90
5) ocd
6) axess GRX4 (for switching out the ocd, changing amp channels, and switching out the piezo signal.) Will probably add another one of these later for switching more pedals including the phase 90.
7) axess MFC5 midi footpedal

It took me 35 minutes to set up for band practice last night, which seems a bit excessive. Something has to be done. :)

Pedal Train works for me.

The SKB PS25 or Furman powered models are good, but if a lot of growth space is a deal-breaker, neither of those will do. Most of the ones out there aren't that big.

But, I happily used the PS-25 for a long time. It's on Ebay now, with a Morley Wah/Volume included (shameless plug!!). But it was too small and now my setup is semi-permamently built onto plywood that is covered in the black stuff and built into a flight case. Room for storage as well.

Heavier? Of course. Setup time? Under 3 minutes. Point is, from a space standpoint, you may have outgrown the off-the-shelf stuff.

I'm pretty much sold on NYC Pedalboards. Have you compared standard to classic?

Classic is brand new. My main board is the Big Shot which currently he doesn't make in the Classic series. I e-mailed him last night that I would buy one if he did. Classic is lighter than the standard and looks pretty classy. Plus, I've got a yellow lab and the black carpet of the board is a magnet for his hair.

Pedal Train works for me.

+1 on this one. Sturdy and has its own Samsonite-style case.

Little more pricey, but really I think they're the best available: www.trailertrashpedalboards.com (http://www.trailertrashpedalboards.com)

You could get into a base model for a pretty comparable price, actually.

I asked him the very same question. I'm going to change my order to a classic big shot if he can do it. My two huge white dogs and the standard aren't going to go together. :)

If you are wondering, this is why the carpeted version isn't a good idea for me:

+1 on the pedaltrain. Strong boards. ships with ata approved flight case. inludes enough velcro for the whole board and the next 5 years' worth of pedals.

I just picked up a used Pedaltrain ll and emailed Pedaltrain about the cost of purchasing additional velcro. Within 1 hour John Chandler responds by saying that since I offered to pay for the velcro, he would send me a complete set up that's included with the new boards at no charge !!! Speaks volumes to me about the customer service that I've read so much about...

+1 on John's customer service. My PT Pro arrived with defective "hook" strips. They wouldn't stick to the board. I emailed John, and within four days, I had a box on my doorstep containing two giant rolls of hand-picked velcro plus a t-shirt. That's how you do business, folks.
