Atom- does a P3 fit into the HA slot?

Charley's just received what Brian H calls an Atom Special. It isn't really since it's humbuckers. Got me thinking. Does the P series fit in an Atom?

the "special" just means not a maple top. the p is a different size than the h or the m.

OK, we know everyone in Dallas wants something special, so this won't come as a shocker...can you route for P-Series? I have a vision in my head of a gold top Atom, dark back with cream P-Series pickups. Yummy.

i have shyed away from p's in an atom because their mounting system is so lame. the screws are so close together you can't angle the pickup, treble to bass wise. we don't cut the pickup holes on the neck angle, so there is also no way to get the p's parallel to the strings. i know there are those out there who love p's and can live with the noise, but i think we'll stay away for now.

We just appreciate the exceptions to the rules that you do make Tom.

thanks. even though we do just about anything on the other models, i really want to limit options on atom to the original vision for the guitar. it's not intended to be all things to all people, just all things to me personally. kinda selfish, but heck it is my guitar.
