I was thinking of putting an H3 or H2+ with a pair of M1s- say in a Cobra or
Drop Top-anyone think these HB are too hot for the M1?

If your quest is to find a matched set I say yes the H3 is a bit of a jump in output and won't match well... but if you are looking for a hot p/u for the bridge and want the M's to handle the other end, then you should be fine. An H2 would be getting closer to the M's but still would leave a little jump in output. It's really a personal taste.

Had a Atom with the H3 and M1, M1 setup complmented each other very well. Had a nice single style clean with an totaly hot bridge. Whish I could have keep it. Also the M2 is not meant for the neck position. The spacing is wrong acordding to Roy.

Yes, the M2 and M3 are made specifically for the bridge position spacing and will not fit in any other position.

If too hot is wrong, I don't wanna be right!
