Hi guys...nice site. I am looking at an older Anderson strat and just want to make sure that it is what the seller thinks it is. I know this guy and trust him, so that is not the issue. The issue is that we both are a little unsure about the guitar and I was wondering if anyone here could shed some light on the subject. Sorry if this guitar has already been discussed over here. The guitar is an older Strat that has had the Anderson logo removed from the headstock for some unknown reason. It is a strat headstock, so maybe the original owner was looking to place a Fender logo on the guitar since Anderson wasn't as known as it is today. Here are some pics of the guitar...any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance...

that is a parts guitar. prior to 1990 we sold bodies and necks that others assembled. we never put our logo on the fender strat headstock. that looks to be a neck and body we made, just not put together by us.

Thanks Tom...BTW, I met you at NAMM in January. It was a pleasure, and thanks for the info.

Tom,

I saw a few pictures of old Anderson guitars in this forum.

You said that you had never attached your logo on Strat headstock, but I saw two guitars with "A" logo on Strat headstock in this forum.

Then, Are Both of them also part guitars which were not assembled and finished by you?

i don't know where the white one came from, perhaps something an employee did in the old days. the blue sparkle one is legit. that is a guitar i built in my garage the first year of the business for a good friend. he is the one that asked for a "blower switch". there is one more of those out there but i'm not tellin where. the finish and logo were added a couple years later
