I wonder if anyone had tryed maple top on Swamp Ash?

I tryed a custom shop tele, with Koa on Mahogny, it was realy fat and twangy.Have anyone tryed this combination on a Drop Top or a Classic?

I see Ed Roman offers Ebony fretboard on his Pearlcaster. Is it to soft to be good on an electric guitar? Or does it colour the sound in a bad way? Is it any Anderson with Ebony fretboard? I love my Ebony fretboard on my Tyler Acc.

Has anyone played a Pearlcaster?

I like hollow Swamp Ash with a Maple top and a solid Maple neck. Great combination if you like lots of shimmering overtones.

Morty, I think you should check out some user reviews (on Harmony Central) of the Pearlcaster not so much for the guitar as for Ed Roman. From what I have read, I will definitely not do any business with him. Just beware.
