Does anyone out there have a good pic of what Ruby Slippers would look like?
It seems to have a lot of flake to it, correct?

Thanx in advance....

It almost appears to be a large metalflake....

With all the discussions about "thin" finishes and resonance - would a metalflake finish have a detrimental effect on tone?

I like the look !

That looks more like Ruby to me. I had a classic in Ruby. It appears black in normal light and then more of a black cherry/maroon when the light hits it. This picture is a good example of the color in sunlight. It is very dark otherwise.

Ruby Slippers is way more red. Their is a a good example in the Guitar Gallery on the Anderson site. It is like a sparkle red. Ruby is like a sparkle burgundy.

BTW, both finishes are very small flake. Same size as silver sparkle that you see quite a bit.

ruby has a black base coat, ruby slippers has a silver base coat, so the slippers look more bright red. the flake is the same as we use on all our sparkle colors. the only additional finish is the flake coat which is the equivelent of an extra coat of color.

that's a tough question. my smaller pedalboard is full and it's doing everything it needs to do. i'm thinking about an add on pedalboard with the weird stuff on it for special occasions. thinking about a pog for that. anyone used one of those? after seeing crowder this weekend, i am going to delve into the world of looping. that's a scary world for me.

that's scary. try using the phrase sampler on your l6 delay (green monster). the pog is cool especially if you use with weird delay settings, talk about polyphony.

Looping - that's what I use my DL4 for... I especially like reverse loops. Creating loops on the fly live is certainly a developed skill! Ouch.

i've been too affraid to do the live looping. suriel, do you have a pog?

nope, but i've played around with them. they are pretty wild, it can make your guitar sound like an 18 string guitar and with some delays or loops; look out!

that ruby color is gorgeous. I didn't know that was an option. Tom, do you wanna paint a new amp for me? :D
