Tom, Bruce, et al,

I just came into ownership of a bunch of .11's but both of my andersons are set up for .10's. What's the protocol for using .11's. Is it ok to use them for a little while to see if I like them without a full guitar re-setup? Or can I use the .11's but tune the guitar down? In THAT case, what suits it best: a 1/2 step detune or a whole step detune?

thanks for the guidance,
-c

you can try them out. the one snag may be the low e string nut slot. the .049 may be tight in it. you may feel the action come up a bit but it shouldn't be crazy. if you like them, the neck and intonation should be adjusted. lots of guys do .011's tuned down a half step. they feel pretty much like .010's tuned to pitch.
you don't have any more of those power supply extendo cords around do you? i got a boss one, but it has straight ends and it won't fit in my cramped space.

I was actually gonna order another couple of p/s's and daisy chains for me in the next week or so. (I'm also trying to get one of the first amps that come of the line this month, too). Do you need the actual p/s or just the daisy chain?

thanks for the help on the string thing. Since I don't use my HDTC that much (I'm living on the HTC and dreaming of the HA), I may use it as the test guitar.

Brian,

Email me soon regarding your "other" guitar. I have questions.
