The big brown truck finally showed up. No pics just yet but I cannot believe how light weight these two guitars are for solid Alder Classics. I've owned and played HDTs and HDTCs that weren't this light! Tom must have found the ultimate stash of Alder! These two are also as identical as two Classics could be other than the finish and the pickups. I bet if I swapped pickguards back and forth I wouldn't be able to tell them apart tonally. They sound great! I was also surprised at how quiet the VAs were compared to Classics with VAs I've owned in the past. Those are my initial impressions after about a half hour with each. I'll try to get some pics soon. My wife wasn't too keen on the Sparkle Gold but I love it! :D
Anyway, I think these two may have rendered my Cobra S a little redundant. I should sell the Cobra S to get the Hollow T Classic I've been thinking about. Hmmmmm. :cool:
