I just put a 12" alnico Tone Tubby with the H1-E voice coil in my Dr Z Maz 38 sr. Unbroken in but it sounds great. Sweet sparkle on top, hi-fi like articulation, stronger low mids and lows than than the Celestion G12H30 that came in the amp. Seems slightly louder overall than the Celestion. I think it's killer!
Anyone else tried the hemp cone speakers?

No, I'm curious myself. I heard about them and know that folks dont like parting with them. What is the wattage rating on yours?

I think the alnico Tone Tubbys are 30 or 40 watts a piece. The Maz 38 is 38 watts but I don't use much distortion/overdrive so I'll never push the speaker too hard. Distorted is harder on a speaker than playing clean. I think the ceramic magnet one has a higher rating. I would like to hear if anyone has compared a Cannabis Rex with the Tone Tubby. The Cannabis Rex is WAY less money.
