Can someone describe the sound of M2 and M3 in the bridge (in my case, a drop top classic)? I tried searching for M2 and M3, but the search engine thinks those words are too short. :)
I'm contemplating going M1/M1/(M2 or M3) for my alder drop top classic.

That's an easy call for me, because I like a hotter bridge. Had an M3 in my Cobra and sent it back to have an H2+ put in. M2 was never an option.
I think the M3 splits really well. Plus, if it's too hot, you can always lower it.
Isn't alder a bright wood? That would make me lean towards M3 as well.
Good luck!
the m2 is the logical extension from the m1, just abit bigger so that the bridge pickup will be louder than the neck m1. if you are looking for a jump in output and thicker tone, the m3 is the one.
