I borrowed both of these from a local store to try out. They work very well as a full preamp (ie. plug directly into the power amp) and get a wide variety of tube tones. I personally prefer the Womanizer. Not quite the clarity of my Egnater IE4 preamp, but these are pretty cheap for that they do, and they are extremely flexible.
It's nice to see that they are exposing EQ before and after the tube stages so that you can boost mids before and drop the after for the brown sound, etc.
The have cab sims built in. . I'll try those and report back.
