Scott Henderson likes 'em.

Anything like this coming from Anderson anytime soon?

I don't know what Tom's plans are, but this particular system looks to be pretty well tied up with Suhr for the time being. Quoting Ed Yoon, who works for Suhr, from this thread on the Suhr board:

Patent is pending and applied for by the inventor of this system who approached us several months ago.

The plan is to offer this system exclusively on Suhr guitars. It is a very labor intensive process to get this system to work properly and likely won't appeal to mass manufacturers like Fender, for instance. It is a niche product for the crowd who will insist on a pure vintage single-coil sound without the noise.

Just get the M series pickups and your in! I have a H/M/M setup and the M's are noiseless with great single coil tones......I have tried a M/M/M setup and was blown away at how noiseless these pickups can be!....

I find the M's to be missing the high-end of a single coil. They sound great in an Atom for a different sort of tone, but I wouldn't put them in a classic as a single-coil replacement.

I just noticed another thread on Kinman pickups. I might have to try these as a solution for noiseless single-coil sound. Fortunately, I have a frankenstrat that I can try it in. :)

I assume you've heard the sound clips (http://www.kinman.com/html/mediaCentre/sounds.htm) on Kinman's site? Pretty cool sounds. Made me consider them too.

Yeah, sounds pretty nice, especially the blues model. I might have to try those out at some point. . wish I hadn't just bought a set of Fralins for my frankenstrat. Actually, the Fralins sound pretty darn good when the noise isn't bad.

Hmmm, I wonder if Suhr is licensing patents from Kinman? Scott Henderson said somewhere:

"I've got Kinman AVn 56 noiseless pickups in it and they sound unbelievably close to John's V60's. It's amazing to have the tone without the hum."

the thing suhr is talking about is a dummy coil done in a very new way, i am pretty sure it is from a new inventor.

Yeah....doesn't the guy come from Seymour Duncan land ???

Saw Eric Johnson the other night.....hum did not get in the way of his tone....AT ALL.

I have also heard that the dummy coil is tuned SPECIFICALLY to the pickups in the guitar.......very labor intensive.

I read somewhere that he's working with Fender to come up with a noiseless pickup that sounds right to him. Also, he falls back to 2nd and 4th position if he is in a situation where the noise is bad.

Seymour has a new model coming out that uses a patent applied for design. Tunable "negative hum" is injected back into the circuit. Pickups come factory tuned for optimal noise cancelation with traditional single-coil tone. Nuno Bettencourt has been using them, or so I hear.

He had hum.....but it was not getting in his way at all. He used his new Sig Series strat for the encores.

Recording of Suhr noiseless. Granted, it's not a distorted sound where the noiseless part would matter, but the tone is nice:
