.........and you didn't tell us about it showing up or post some pics? ;)
How about a little tone report? I'm curious about that wood and electronics combo.

well, I'm not very good at this sort of thing... but here goes. I just a/b'd it with a '59 strat, an 80's strat plus and a Grosh with Seth Lovers.

This is by far the best sounding, most balanced sounding guitar I have ever played. I've been on my tone quest for quite some time, and have bought and sold a number of TA's, PRS's, Hertigages, Gibsons, etc. For awhile, I was buying and selling guitars as a small business. All that to say, I've played and sold a lot of great guitars (anyone have a 90's tele thinline?) This has been my number one longer than any guitar I've ever owned.

In the neck, a warm tone that is a bit brighter than a traditional jazz sound, but still gives that nice syrupy flavor to it. by far, my favorite position for playing alone or rythm backing.

The bridge pickup is much brighter, "spankier" than the neck, but not as bright as a strat or tele in the bridge position. It's a little darker sounding - but still it seems like it's more harmonically complex than any of the single coils.

The other positions are shadings of the two.

The difference between the humbuckers and the single coils is subtle - of course, the output is less, but still harmonically balanced - maybe a little more mid-rangey than the fenders, brighter than the seth lovers.

I just can't say enough great things about it. Awesome sound, great looking, the only other thing, though, is it doesn't know any new songs. That kinda chapped me.

Pics next.

I think the rosewood neck looks very cool from the back, too!

I may not be buying another very soon. Sorry, Brian H!

I forgot. I had a solid mahogany hollow cobra s - I couldn't tell any difference in the tone, so I sold it. Someone around here has it, I think! Those are the Cobra S's I've ever had, so I can't really compare it to any other top.

Mini humbuckers in a Hollow Cobra - schweet!

Great axe! I like those pics. It makes me crave the koa rw/rw HDT that I have on order.

That is very nice looking guitar. I really like the look of that rosewood neck! Why did you sell the all mahog hollow cobra? i am looking for an all mahog cobra, not hollow though. I thought they would sound really thick!

That is a sweet looking axe you got there,

Cheers

It sounded awesome! I thought the tones were covered with the Koa version, and I didn't want two guitars that did the same thing.

good luck finding one, the Cobra S is a great guitar. Maybe until you get an Atom! :D
