Hi guys:

I was thinking about different necks size (I can't compare here in Spain), and I wonder if there is any significant different of tone/sound
I don't talk about the necks fell, it's more a tone/sound question.

Is there any direct relation between neck size and tone?
So more wood neck (size) = more sound end or tone

Tom: Is there any contact to have a Tom anderson Dealer in Madrid? ;)
I only can imagin how the differents model are and sound.

Thanks in advance

Javier

I think the mass of wood in the neck can make some different sounds. But maby most important is the neckjoint! the fit and finish on the neckpocket and the neck

we have not had inquiries from spain, but we also are booked up with the dealers we have so we;re not really opening any new dealers.
neck size/sound is a pretty sticky issue. many would agree that fat necks sound better. there's that word better again. i have played too many great sounding small neck guitars to say anyone should play a neck that is uncomfortable to try to get a better tone. i have been playing very big cobra necks for the past 4 years. when i did the first atom prototype i just grabbed a regular cobra neck and found i liked it better over all, so everything i've made myself this past year, and that's been 6 guitars, have had the smaller cobra neck backshape. for me, the comfort has has a bigger impart on how i play than any possible tone difference. but i am getting a better sound now than ever, at least that's what my wife tells me ;)
