Has there ever been a Crowdster made with medium or heavy frets?
If not, is it because of intonation issues?
we have made a few with medium frets. i don't think intonation is too much of an issue because the strings are so much stiffer, unless you have a gorilla grip. to me the taller frets make the strings feel a bit like a cheese slicer on my fingers because the meat of the finger doesn't touch the wood.

On my current Crowdster I use purty light strings: 10,14,23,30,39,47.
My goal is to get a second Crowdy with quilt/alder (whereas mine has flame/mahogany) and have the newer one even closer to my TA electrics in feel (and those have medium frets).
them er purty light acoustic strings. unless you are into big bends on the acoustic i'd stay with the small frets.
