5 days and no TAG to play, but the South Pacific is cool. Maybe we can talk Tom into making a travel size Crowdster. :D

You mean there are people who can exist more than 15 minutes without checking email or surfing the web? Bahh! I don't believe it!

It's hard not to check emails or search the web, this is like part of your life.

Suriel with which artist are you touring? It sounds nice that you will get to go to so many places. :D

Yes it is sad but this is one of those work, as in college studies at the same time as having fun. The main reason for going is to check out a college in Sydney for my son. But the week in New Caledonia with constant 70 degree weather is not bad. The real suffering is the 3 day layover in Fiji on the way back. By the way Suriel when and where are you going to be in Austrailia.

Unbolted, a guitar can easily fit into a suitcase, wrapped in t-shirts and gym socks. Just pack a nice Snap-On philips screwdriver and put the shampoo in a Zip-Lock.

Now Benny,

You know you are not suppose to be encouraging others to disassemble their Andersons—but if it must go into to a suitcase nothing comes apart and goes back together than the Atom—with that new neck joint. I heard that Anderson is going to be showing more details on the new neck joint in a few weeks. Perhaps they will include packing instructions.

It's all in the neck joint! (disclaimer: the posting regarding disassembly of your guitar was posted in fun, and is NOT an endorsement to take apart any guitar for travel purposes - even if it has a squeak-fit neck/body joint (like an Anderson)... unless of course you have plenty of (clean) t-shirts and gym socks to pack it in.

If a may so humbly suggest a new neck joint for future Andersons. A door hinge mounted to the bottom of the neck pocket and to the bottom of the neck heel would allow you to just fold the neck over the front of the body. Then you could secure it with a single wing nut. No loosening of the strings required, and you'd never "misplace" your neck. I'm sure there would be no negative effect on playability or tone.

I have owned guitars from other makers that had sufficient space in the neck pocket to accomodate this. :D

And great vibrato could be had just by loosening and tightening the wing nut. Man, are you on to something.

MMM...The wing nut... to many jokes. If I locate the wing nut on the top of a strat, could I play Hendrix better? Get the patent filed!
Of course, you could wrap a large elastic band around the back of your waist attached to the headstock and one of the two strap pins and move your hips in an Elvis type manner. You could create new rock type moves, while eliminating the need for a traditional guitar strap, and add a whole new update to the whammy bar genre of playing, maybe a new stlye of music! Of course it would never replace the two hand tapping/whammy Van Helga technic... or whatever that dutch boys name is, Van something or other.

More meaningless dribble,
Jimmie B

PS Try to imagine what one would look like doing this, It might make it more humorous?

Now that is a little strange. But now with all the resriction's on baggage. 2 bags and no more than 55-70lb depending on airline., it could be hard to carry that one.

Benny, that's amazing.

The whole "guitar as scabbard" vibe is unique. Those desiring to disassemble their Anderson should request the neck storage pocket option on future orders. :D
