View Full Version : Dannopelli rocks Richmond!
Tunacaster and I just got done watching Danno rip it up with his new band, Steppinstone. Danno has some great chops and serious tone! I really enjoyed the set despite the cool damp enviornment, which was outdoors with temps in the 50's! :D
Onstage: Two Dr Z amps, beautiful Andy (Candy), Strat, LP, Martin...and a killer pedal board with all the essentials. Nice, nice rig!
Look forward to catching you guys again in the near future!

Yeah, it was great! Danno had some cool riffs going. Awesome rig and really nice tones in his setup. Dan's candy cane Andy looks even better outside. The band had a good mix of tunes, classic rock, some funk and blues too. Oh and a little Guthrie to start the show. The singer has some Janis Joplin and Carol King in her vocals, nice soulful voice. Her daughter came out and did a couple of tunes also.
Danno, as much as I love Strat tones, that Les Paul was HUGE sounding. Good job, great chops, thanks for the invite.

Thanks guys! I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR KIND WORDS. More importantly I appreciate the fact that you came out in such crappy weather. Seeing both of you, Dave, your friends and wives was really great. It inspired me to play! CAUSE I WAS FREEZING! In fact the club owner originally wanted to cancel, but we convinced him to let us go on. Now he wants us on a regualr basis! Again thanks to folks like you!
Bill, like you said about your gig a few weeks back, it sucks to play outdoors in that weather! I could not feel my fingers for the first few tunes. In fact I did not do my typical solo in the opening Guthrie song cause I could not get my hand to work! UGH. But like I said above, seeing you guys there made it worth it and I warmed up pretty quick.
Well we are back there in three weeks. Hopefully it will be summer by then!
Thanks again guys!
Danno
