Amazing what some sunshine will do to bring out the red. These photos look much closer to reality now.

I'm looking to trade my mint '04 Anderson Drop Top (12-17-04A) which was custom ordered from Jack Gretz at Magdon.

Maple top, custom picked (w/o the upcharge) in a tigerstripe flame, with a cajun red to dark red burst with natural binding. Mahogany body, done in natural. Maple neck with Madagascar rosewood fretboard and no inlays (but with full sidemarkers). The neck has a satin finish with vintage tint and is 1 5/8" with +.50 over carve and a black headstock.

Pick-ups are HO1 and HO1+

Switching is 3 way toggle with mini-toggle for series/parallel, chrome Vintage Trem system.

More photos available at my homepage (see my sig)

Sale price $1850 shipped to the lower 48.

Trades: What am I looking for? Preferably a McCarty, though I'm interested in CU22's as well. W/F neck is mandatory. 10 top not necessary.

Colors? I'm open to most. Whale Blue, Emerald Green or Teal Black, Purple, Black Cherry, Dark Cherry Burst are great, but let me know what you have.

Open to other interesting ideas as well. chrisw at echoes dot net

Wow! Love the color and no dots on the rw board. The natural mahogany back is bitchin',too. Wish I could do something about it. ;)

Hi CJW, I have a McCarty Rosewood in Dark Cherry I was getting ready to put on the Bay, but your Cajun Red intrigues me. I tried reaching you directly by email, but I got a box that said you don't accept emails. Let me know. Cheers, Marko.

Hey Marko,

Just got back in from Philly and sent you a reply. I'm definitely interested if you'd like to send over pics.

Chris -- choosing a PRS over an Anderson is just not a smart thing to do. Just not smart. Ever. Never. It's wrong. Always.

Don't you know that PRSs are stamped out by soulless robots :) . Robots that use the dark side of the force.

You need to read a book called: "The Berenstain Bears Get the Gimmie's." This book will teach you an important lesson. It's not a good thing to always want something new. Be satisfied with what you have -- and most importantly, in this book Brother Bear learns to never trade down an Anderson for a PRS.

Eh, what can I say? I'm not gonna rip Andersons becuase they're lovely guitars. Just not for me. Or, to be more correct, this one doesn't fit the hole in my collection that I need it to.

The Anderson is traded to someone who will love it more than I do.
