yes i know it's been a while, just now caught up on some other stuff to free me up to edit the video and create a page. I'll have the bruce setup / tweak truss rod video up tomorrow(ish) :)
The shop tour video is kinda short, as i edited it to what a clip of tom playing a new customers guitar. I'll probably make a longer one with all the video i have uncut in the future.

Thanks again Tom for the visit, hope you like it....

Wow...cool vid, and nice pics. I've been to the shop at least once, back in '90-'91 but I don't remember much of it.
Cool soundtrack too. ;) My one thought is "I wonder who the guy with the Spock fingers is..."
j/k I know who it is.
Edit - Thanks for putting that together and posting it, Dave!

Hey I thought the noodling was good, If I could make out the song in the middle (The Wonderfull Cross) I didn't thing it was noodling.

Hey looking thru the pictures the Trans orange T at http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y77/bcbtoby/oringt.jpg the bottom looks familar.http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y77/bcbtoby/Picture175.jpg
Or is it just my imagination. This is one I had for about a week and let someone else who was crazy about it have it after his wife agreed.

Thanks. That was amazing editing and the soundtrack by Tom definitely made it like a true documentary. Can I assume you work in editing? Or is it a hobby? That was awesome work.
Thanks,

Thanks,
sadly no.. i'm a web developer by day, explains why my site doesnt get much done to it (cobblers kids have no shoes kinda thing). i'd like to get tom to do one for real, all those shots were by hand, and done real quick, i didnt want to get in the way or make anyone feel uncomfortable.
i'm rendering the Bruce Guitar Setup 101 video right now, should be up on the site in the next hour or so. let me know how you guys like that one.
thanks again for the compliments...

Thanks,
i asked tom while i was there, it switches the phase and i think coil taps it.
dave
that was the guitar i was playing on the video. i think it had series/split/parallel on the switch. i don't remember who ordered it, i'll check with roy.
Roy (maybe)

The Trans Yellow guitar that Tom is playing is 07-26-04F and was ordered by Frank. It had come to him in a dream and he called us to work out the details with him—which was a delight. Frank is cool.
It is a Hollow Drop Top T with a Quilted Maple top and a Mahogany back coupled to a solid Maple neck. It has one M3 in the bridge that, with a 3-Way, can select between series, split or parallel for that pickup.

*Chime* Great work on both videos, Dave!
Tom and crew: that T sounds great--very woody and throaty tone.
that fadal is the first one ever to be sold for cutting wood? 1988.

After seeing the clip of the truss rod adjustment I'd love to go back and make a condensed, more simple approach. I always hate seeing myself on film.
Thanks to dpeterson for his time and effort.

haha doesnt everyone
well i have 3 separate clips of different angles, and to make it shorter i just used bits from each when they pertained to what you were talking about. I'd like to have had better sound, but hey what can you do.. maybe next time :)
