Thanks to all the Andersonites, my Lake Placid Blue Classic arrived back home today with a brand new, beautiful solid maple neck. This is the first all maple neck I have had done in my favorite carve - 1 11/16" 62 Roundback. As usual the finish, fretwork and setup is the highest quality like every other Anderson I own.

Thanks again to everyone at Anderson for their help on the neck replacement effort.

Lucky Stan! Hey, isn't one of the best experiences opening the case for the first time and seeing that new Andy?! Waiting for mine next year....

My 'case opening' experience was highly enhanced when I discovered my birthday engraved on the plate as it's serial number! 10-18-03T!!!

Remember in THIS situation it was an Anderson I've owned for awhile, just the neck was changed......I guess this is more analagous to coming home and finding your wife has dyed her hair!:D

i dont know what to think, i took my new drop top neck off so i could adjust it (see other thread about not being able to figure it out) and the body and neck are numbered.... 666

Stan, another great analogy! How about coming home and finding she's prepared to shell out the $$$ for another Anderson ;P

dave, as we match the neck and body to go through the paint process, they get a number in the neck pocket and on the heel of the neck. in january we start with 1, and go till the end of the year. yours is the 666th guitar this year. since i am not superstitious(sp) i use all the numbers. sorry if it concerned you.

Tom,

A better question is what the heck are you doing up and surfing the net at 3:00AM in the morning?:D :D (I noticed the time tag on your post).

The neck is perfect, as I said for me there is NO neck carve that beats the 1 11/16" 62 rb! As I said this is the fist one I have had in solid maple. When played clean there is a noticeable difference in the low end response between the maple neck and my other rw board necks. The low end seems much tighter and on the maple. I only had a chance tp play it for about 10 minutes last night, hopefully tonight I can get a good full night of playing in.

Once again, Thanks Tom and all the other Andersonites.

Hi Pappy,

All my Andersons (and my PRSi) come from Jack at Magdon Music. I actually have never been to any guitar shops in that end of state (Rons', Alpha, etc), closet I get to that area is an occasonal trip to the casinos to see a concert!

stan, iworked a little late last night and was beat when i went home. i did a quick scan of the forum, but went straight to bed. i woke up at 2:30 and couldn't sleep. i was thinking about dave's 666 post, and felt bad i didn't answer him earlier. so i did and surfed a bit more. man am i tired.

Actaully let's put a positive spin on the "666" Situation - it must be one HELL of a guitar (sorry, couldn't resist).:D :D
