Anyone else try these yet? I put a set on my HDTC last week and really like them so far, even better than the old Nanowebs. The plain strings seem smoother when sliding around on them. I don't know if I'm imagining it or not, but the would strings don't seem to have quite as thick of a coating on them either.

i was part of the testing process, and the final version works well for me. i am not a plain string killer, so for me i don't hear a difference in the plain strings. they did a placebo test where 2 of the three plain strings were new and 1 was old style. i did not notice a difference in their tone. the wound strings are the same as they have been, which is great for me.

I'm one of the people who gets corosion on the plain strings before the wound strings go dead on Elixirs. Maybe the fact that they aren't coroding on the Anti Rust set makes them feel smoother to me?

I'm a ruster, too. A couple years ago I found Stringlife (http://www.stringlife.com/). Using this on the plain strings has been a huge help. No greasy feeling, just feels like a new string until it breaks or gets worn from friction. Can't wait to try the anti-rust strings, though.

EDIT: Here's one of my first posts (http://andersonforum.com/board/showthread.php?t=148) on this forum, recommending this very product. Still use it every day.

That looks cool. I'll have to try some on my PRSs and Gibson, since I still prefer uncoated strings on them.
