Recently got this killer looking LSS. Really nice amp.

It has the Celestion Black Shadow speaker in it currently and I am not a big fan of it. Could I get some recommendations on a different speaker, please? My good friend Danno recommended the Vintage 30 and his recommendation is well taken. :) But, I thought I might seek a couple of other opinions. Thanks for any input.

tuna......at namm i tried a whole lot of emminence speakers and they really sounded hot. i'm rather partial to the v30 as danno mentioned, but emminence has a great variety. email tomo fujita at music@tomofujita.com and he could really help you in that direction, he knows their whole line of speakers really well and he is a really nice guy.

Thanks Tom, Dave over at Richmond Music talked with Mesa Boogie and they are swapping me a V-30 for the Black Shadow (all I have to pay is freight for the new speaker). Very nice service from those guys at Mesa Boogie. Can't forget Dave either, he always provides great customer service.

Thanks Shaun, I have heard F-30's with both speakers (Dan P. has V-30 in his) and I much perfer the sound of the V-30, so I am anxious to try this out in the LSS.

Tommy, I think you'll like the V30. My new 1x12 cabinet is loaded with one and I couldn't be happier. It's cool that Mesa and Dave are working with you on it. Please keep us posted!

The Celestion G12H is a great speaker. Close to the V30 but a bit warmer, and maybe a little earlier breakup than the V30....but that all depends on which amp and/or cab, and what kind of volume you are playing at. I prefer the G12H actually, but that's just my preference of course.
