Hi again,
I have been looking at past posts for replacement necks and gather the right way is to return the guitar to Tom $500 plus shipping etc, but, with living in Liverpool, England the shipping costs would virtually double that cost ! So, is it not possible to have the neck made and posted here and have a local luthier put it on ? I would then post the old neck back to TA? Is this possible?

possible, but it will still cost you more as you would have to pay to have the nut cut and setup there. we would also need an accurate measurement of the heel width of the existing neck so we can try to match it. to do the job really right we need to fit the neck then finish it and set it up.

I am in the same dilemma!! I live in Norway!! I want medium stainless steel frets instead of my heavy non SS frets! I want Anderson to change my neck and do the Buzz Feiten setup and intonation! After adjusting string gauge from 009 to 010, adjusting trussrod, stringheight, and tremolo springs, I had to intonate 3 times before I got it right, I am very sensetive to pitch, so I want my setup to be perfect!

My HDT is actually in the Anderson Guitarworks (I live in France) for a neck swap.
FedEx has done the temporatly exportation (to do not pay customs twice) for about 400€ (shipping + exportation fees).

The only problem was that FedEx lost my Guitar for 2 weeks  ... but it arrived Friday at Guitarworks.

I think I have to stay with my Heavy non SS frets.. Until I order a new one, in the future!
