number of frets

i'm sure you've heard this bevore, but,
how come no 24-fret necks?
Does it have something to do with proper pickup placement?

correct. those two notes are not worth losing the sound of the neck pickup to me. and as leroy parnell once said,"you can't make no money playin' up there".
