I figure some of you guys would know about this band so any help here would be much appreciated. I'm ordering a bunch of CDs from Cduniverse, so my wife asked me to pick up a Jars of Clay CD for her. What is their quintessential must-have CD? Also, my wife was interested in Avalon-should I just buy their best-of CD? Thanks in advance.
i still like the first, i think , jars, it has flood on it. haven't listened to avalon. brian, tonelounge has played with them though.

i am also partial to their first cd, but only becuase i stopped listening to them after their third CD. I will admit that their second CD grew on me more and more with time, but alas, i still think that their frist CD is their best, becuase there is not a single song on the CD that needs to be skipped. Plus, it isnt an acquired sound, it is catchy with the first listen.

thanks Tom and SOA. Looks like I'll order the first one for my wife. There really should be a mandatory "best-of" cd rule after a band makes a maximum three studio CDs!
but would they pick the right "best" ?

I think Avalon has a best-of... at least that's the live set I've played with them... I'll ask my daughter, she's the Avalon fan.
Jars - the first album is the must-have
