I understand there are people that dont like the new model look.
It's their opinion,

But I think most of all know quality of TAGs.

I thing the look is secundary, the very important thing to me it's the sound and playability.

Anyone will buy a guitar for its looks??

I love the post which claims the only part Anderson makes are their necks! Sad that people need to make bogus accusations without doing their research. Just one more reason I stay away from the HCF.

i will avoid that for sure, you know how sensitive i am... in a manly way of course. new guitar shapes are seldom embraced. i believe prs has the only success in the past few decades. just for the record, the crowdster and atom were inspired by the larrivee LV shape. i believe it to have beautiful lines. both guitars have been shrunken and stretched to work with other ergonomics required. i warned you all up front that this would not be a strat. you all have a long list of makers who do strat style guitars, i don't think we need another. what gets me when i pick up atom is how it feels hanging on me, then how it responds when i play it. i don't spend too much time infront of the mirror with it. i must admit that the fact that it does not look like a strat makes me grin a bit.

Actually there's a lot of praise for TAG quality in that thread. Seems that some people just don't like the look of the Atom, but people who know TAG recognize its possibilities beyond the visual aspects.

Here's a some other threads about it:

I'm not even invested in any argument about TAG, but no thanks, I'll not even go to that link. I hovered my pointer over the link and saw "acapella.harmony-central...." and I didn't even bother going. Total troll-fest forum. I recently went there looking for some educated info on amplifiers and I found threads with like 600 single sentence replies about how much more righteous one amp was over the other (with tons of childish back and forth) and not one person talked about anything technical, or about what types of tubes they used, etc. etc. Total waste of time to try to get anything out of such a desolate wasteland. Sorry, if it's posted there, IMO, it's not to be even considered.

Whether they like it or not at least the Atom has caught some people's attention already, which is always a good sign...

Since I am an automotive designer at Chrysler, I see many designs that are incredible and unique. That being said, the Atom design easily qualifies to be displayed among Dodge Viper, Chrysler 300C, Chrysler Firepower, Dodge Charger and Chrysler ME412.

The Atom is sleek, elegant and sexy.

As for Anderson players being full of themselves, well I only own one guitar at the moment and it say Anderson. Can't wait until Thursday when some more pics are added By those going to Namm.

Most of the people at HC are retarded. One guy who said something particularly foul about the Atom used to be a regular poster at HRI, but he was busted for trying to pass off Guthrie Govan clips as his own, and was promptly chased away. Again, most of those guys have never seen an Anderson in person: if it's not pointy, it's not for them.

Forums can be more polarized than needed at times and comments appear more severe than made in person....such is the internet.

Me personally, not necessarily my first choice in design but without seeing one in person don't have a definite opinion. Would like to see some carve on the top, though would be a different sound I guess with the added maple. Obviously, this guitar will play and sound amazing...that's a given.

I think if Tom and crew were intending to make a few hundred thousand of these there might be a little concern for not being universally accepted design-wise but I'm sure the demand will be far greater than their ability to actually make enough.

I think some nice music will be made with this guitar.
