I have a Hollow T-Classic with a Hard Rock Maple 1 5/8" Small V neck that I like but not in love with it. Is it possible to purchase an Anderson neck to switch out. Also, if I switch out the neck, how do I get the buzz feiten back again.

Thanks!

You'll need to ship the guitar back to Anderson and Bruce will put the new neck you want on and set the whole thing up. BF is automatic.

How much will a new neck run?

I think it's about $500. I'm sure Tom, Roy (Maybe) or Bruce will chime in at some point today or tomorrow and tell you exactly. :)

I think you also loose your old neck in the process if Im not mistaken.

That is correct. Tom & Co. don't like spare parts floating around. But the real reason to send it back is to have it done the right way...by the builders.

I've had 2 necks changed in the last two years. Everything said above is true.

- Cost is about $500 plus shipping (both ways), provided the tuners can be re-used.
- TAG will need the guitar back. The neck neck will be custom built for the guitar.
- TAG will not return the old neck.
- The price inlcudes the neck, installation of the neck, fret leveling and a first class setup.

I was just thinking that a new neck will cost around $600.00 or so with shipping. Would it be smart just to sell the guitar and purchase one with the standard neck?

The guitar is 04-11-97P. It has some fretware but alot of life left. I would ask around $1200.00 for it.

There have been a lot of updates to Andersons since 1997 so it might make sense to get a new one. Jack Magdon, sponsor of this forum has one that's close to what you want:

this one is cool too...

or try something a little different...

If I sold it instead of getting a new neck, is $1200.00 reasonable to sell quickly??

That seems like a fair price to me. Stan on this forum just sold a HT to another forumite Ryan for about that.

Can't have that one....I bought it last week!! It is one great "tele"! Actually I think the neck isn't what Chris is looking for. I believe he wants a TA Standard and this Classic T has a big +.050 oversize TA Std Carve.

It's actually Jack Gretz , he runs the guitar department at Magdon Music.
