Just wondering what your highlights were from this Christmas. Myself? I don't get jack these days as all the gifts are for the little one. But my wife did buy me a X box this year, 3 extra game controls and a bunch of games including Halo 2. I'm not into video games at all, but I gotta admit Halo 2 is awesome especially when you're on "slayer" mode playing against your wife!!
Not really related to any holiday, but I bought a PRS Archtop last week. I've been GASing for one on and off for months, and finally broke down. It just may be my new favorite.

I got the joy of spending the holiday with my family- everyone from my 85 year old grandmother down to my 7 month old nephew. That is one gift that always fits and never needs to be taken back. :)

I got a new koa Taylor. The koa is nice but it doesn't play very well. :)

I've wondered what they sound like. Is it 335 sounding or a tone of it's own?

I got tapped out buying for my daughter. It was worth every penny. She was so ready for Santa. We saw the Polar Express just before Christmas and the tree, the lights, her age, it all worked together so well. Do all parents worry over proliferating the Santa myth? Oh well she loved it regardless. For me I picked up a Teese RMC 2 on E-bay, and a new Line 6 Tonecore delay pedal. I'm going to get a Keeley 'True Bypass Looper to bypass the delay. Probably later I'll get Keeley to put a bypass circuit on my 75 MXR Phase 90. Then have them rework my SparkleDrive. Has anyone had that done on their SparleDrive by Keeley?

OK man, we're gonna have to go on DEATHMATCH mode on Xbox live. We've been playing Halo since xmas 2001, and almost every friday night (4 married guys, all w/kids, 4 TV's, 4 xboxes, all system linked via a Linksys router, starting at 10pm, ending around 2:30am). I was so amped to check out H2, that I finished Halo 2's single player mode in 4 days (would've been sooner except work, the kids and the the wife got in the way - NO guitar playing for 4 days! ) What a waste -completely over hyped.
IF you haven't experienced Halo:Combat Evolved (Halo 1), I'll send you my copy. Pistols in the first one are much more potent. The headshots, the accuracy, the challenge, much more difficult IMHO. HOWEVER, the multiplayer/system link mode in Halo2 is more enjoyable. But after 3 years of waiting, you'd think Bungie'd have come up w/ a better story line. The Arbiter sequence is OK, but I prefer playing as the Master Chief. Brandishing dual weapons also cheapens the gaming experience IMHO. All you need to do is rain bullets. Whatever happened to aiming? AND no melee or grenades when in dual weapon mode.
Bro, I'm gonna take you to SCHOOL!! :D ;)

A new laptop and Cakewalk Home Studio. Now to figure how to use it with my Pod XTL. Record and playback to see how really bad I do sound. :D

Taylor offered them this year along with a snowflake in maple. They are lazer cut and really cool. I hope they become an annual thing for Taylor with different woods and body styles.

Man, that is a sweet looking Archtop! I love the Spruce top PRSs. I've got a HB Spruce that is a very inspiring guitar to play.

I didn't know you were a Halo fan. I learn new stuff everyday! I haven't played the campaign version yet but I have read that it ends really abruptly and leads to a Halo 3. One of these days I will play the solo version but I rather just throw grenades at my wife or shoot rocket launchers at her! She particularly takes glee in shooting my blown up body AFTER she scores a kill on me. What a fun game though. I didn't play an X-Box until a week or so ago when my friend invited us over and made me and the other guys play Halo and Halo 2 with him. My wife saw that I was digging it so she decided to buy that for me for X-mas. Thanks for the offer on Halo 1, but I already bought that along with NHL ESPN 2K5 the other day. As for your last comment, wait till I get a couple of months in, and practice more!! :D

ahh....c'mon. We'll do Team Slayer or King of the Hill.....it'll be fun destroying other players from 'round the world. And yeah, when the corpses fall, it's like Raggedy Ann  :D The best is in the campaign mode, a headshot w/ either a pistol or a shotgun is totally devasting. Watch the Covenant spin like ballerinas. ;)

that's just nuts. My wife just isn't the type to buy guitars for me. It would be the equivalent to her making all of the arrangements for me to have an affair with another woman.

A little late in posting, but Santa was good to me this year:
- G&L Legacy (used, but one killer of a guitar)
- G&L George Fullerton Signature (another used, but still killer)
- TAG Classic T (Just got it last week)
- Heartwoodes Mahoghony Guitar Strap (who would have thought wood would be comfortable?)

You guys got good stuff...the most significant thing I got from someone else was Star Trek TOS vol. I and II (AKA nerd heaven) from my gf.
Of course I splurged and got my cat this:

Thanks. It's a standard issue "SG Supreme", so nothing custom about it, unfortunately. I snapped it up from musiciansfriend in their scratch/blemish specials. Was about half of list price and the extent of the blemish was it looked like someone was over zealous in removing a sticker from the back of the guitar and there's a light blurring of the finish on the back. For my first ever online guitar purchase, I'm very happy with it.
