Just curious if there has been a hollow basswood Anderson made (DTC or T) and what it would sound like?

From www.andersonguitars.com:
Maple Top on Hollow Basswood
The sonic character of this combination is similar to that of its solid body counterpart in that it creates a very full rich sound with great low, middle and high end. The hollow body does produce richer and more abundant overtones which give this combination a whole new character - perhaps moving closer to the traditional wood tones without losing its own personality. It is very light weight and looks great with almost all transparent colors.
until this year, we probably made more hollow basswood backed drop top guitars than any other wood. alder has become more popular this year.

A couple years ago I sold my Classic T maple top on basswood, because I just didnt like the floyd rose it had on it, however.. that guitar just sounded so great! I tend to have a little more high end in my fingers so I wonder if basswood or alder would be better suited for my type of playing..
I like sounds I get from the hollow guitars a lot, just seems to sing better IMO

My first Andy was a used 1992 amberburst Hollow T (I guess now it would be called a drop top t), with a maple top over a hollow basswood body, pao ferro (or however you spell it) fretboard. Great guitar, and very easy on the back. That guitar just sang so well and sounded so thick without getting over mushy on a very overdriven amp. Very versatile-with its switcheroo pickup system, this guitar could get many different sounds. I kind of wish I still I had that guitar along with the Hollow Cobra S that Joe now owns.

Hi Pluto,
I realize how you feel. That does sound like a great guitar—and you did spell pau ferro correctly. Please don’t think me presumptuous but I called Roy at Anderson for you and he said that they could build you a guitar just like what you loved—only better. But then he suggested, rather nicely, that I stop bothering you—and to stop using his name on the forum.
I just don’t know if I can do that. Have fun!
