UPS dropped this off today. Thanks to Tom and Roy and all the folks at Anderson. My new Cobra S with M's is amazing in every way!

Joe, That thing is just beautiful! Is that desert sunset burst?
BTW, I could be a Joe 1962 also. 12-15-62 to be exact.

Actually it's dark honey burst. You're 7 days older than me, by the way. :)
Sweet looking guitar! I love mine. The Cobra S with M series pickups is a wonderful thing.

Since it is a birthday present, I am assumming that you will not be playing or looking at the guitar until then! ;)
Seriously, fine looking guitar!

That looks like everything my next purchase will be.Dont suppose you could giv us a hint on the cost...
With the dollar been cheap now I might be tempted to buy from the US.As Uk dealers never have Cobra S's in stock...
Cheers

Really nice Joe. Congrats. Can you describe how that sounds relative to a Cobra with full-size HBs?
And BTW, you two Joe's are 8 months older than another Joe (me). Old farts! ;)

Keeping in mind that I've only been able to play it a couple of hours so far (and it takes me much longer than that to really get to know a guitar) I'd have to say the M's fall somewhere between the thickness of the full humbuckers and the thinness of the split humbuckers on a 2xHB Cobra. Plus you get some sounds that a 2xHB Cobra can't get since there are 3 pickups instead of 2. It's really hard to directly compare to any other common guitar (Strat, LP etc.) because it really is it's own thing. And it's own thing is very cool.
