I'll go for the Red Sox because:

1) They are a local team in these parts
2) I feel sorry for their past post-season disasters!

Me too. Baseball isn't really my bag, but there's a lot of interest in these parts, and most of it hinges on the Red Sox's success.

Besides, the Red Sox guys look like they could be in some rock band. In fact, I heard that when they win at Fenway, the PA plays "Dirty Water" by the Standells. Compare that to Yankee Stadium, where they play "NY, NY" -- though the cool part is if the Yanks won, they play the Sinatra version, but if they lost, they play Liza's version!

i'm glad i was able to witness the mets beat the sox at fenway in 1986. hopefully the cards will be able to sweep the sox as the sox did to the yanks starting in game 4. go cards.

Well, It's over so to say I was rooting for the Sox is a little anticlimatic, but how can you not be rooting for the underdog, who have a curse on them, and they really do have 'Red' socks(bloody red socks).
