Quick question on SS frets. How long has this been a feature on Andersons?

I've read that it is exclusive to Anderson guitars. Is the exact steel material used unique to TAG or stainless steel in general? Because, I thought I've seen stainless steel frets elsewhere.

Thanks. I appreciate the help. I'm new to these guitars.

Stainless frets have been on Andersons since early 2002.

There are many different grades of stainless. The stainless steel fret wire we have was made exclusively for us in Germany. There are others out there that offer stainless frets but I'm not sure of the grade they are offering. Maybe Tom can chime in.

we tried some japanese stainless wire and found it to be much softer. it was also not manufactured as nicely. the german wire is made very cleanly and all the angles and curves are very well defined.
